WHAT IS MASTABOL 100 DROSTANOLONE PROPIONATE USED FOR
MASTABOL 100 Drostanolone Propionate is used for the treatment of breast cancer patients to inhibit estrogen production. MASTABOL 100 Drostanolone Propionate is used because of its ability to reduce estrogen in the body to some degree and as estrogen is the enemy of a breast cancer patient it is very easy to see how this would benefit the individual.
BEFORE THIS MEDICINE IS GIVEN TO YOU
• Do you have cancer of the breast or prostate?
• Are you pregnant or likely to become pregnant?
If the answer to either of these questions is YES:
• Did you tell your doctor at the last visit or an earlier visit?
• If you did NOT then you should do so as soon as possible and before this medicine is given to you.
Even so, your doctor may still want to give you this medicine.
What do I need to know before my medicine is given to me?
Extra supervision by your doctor may be necessary in some cases. Tell your doctor if:
• you have high blood pressure;
• you suffer from heart failure or have other heart disease;
• you are diabetic;
• you have reduced liver or kidney function;
• you are epileptic;
• you suffer, or have suffered, from migraine;
• you have cancer affecting the bone.
This medicine may affect some liver tests or may cause liver tumours (only in very rare cases).
Anabolic steroids should not be taken by athletes to try to improve performance. They are more likely to be harmful to you.
WHAT OTHER MEDICINES ARE YOU TAKING
Other medicines may affect how this medicine works
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING
If you are pregnant or think that you might be pregnant, this medicine should not be given to you. This medicine should not be given to you if you are breast-feeding.
ALLERGIES
This medicine contains Benzyl Benzoate and almond oil, if you are allergic to either of these tell your doctor immediately.
HOW IS THIS MEDICINE GIVEN
It is important that this medicine is given only as directed by your doctor.
HOW MUCH
Adults:This medicine is given usually one injection of 1ml every three weeks. The dose depends on your illness and how bad it is.
Children: This medicine should not be given to children.
HOW THE INJECTIONS ARE GIVEN
The injections are usually given by a doctor (or a nurse), deep into muscle tissue.
WHAT TO DO IF SOMEONE ACCIDENTALLY TAKES TOO MUCH
If this happens tell your doctor immediately.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE
Don't worry, make sure someone can give you the missed dose when you remember.
SIDE EFFECTS
Like all drugs, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
• worsening of the early stages of prostate cancer
• increased levels of a blood marker which is associated with prostate cancer (PSA increased)
• growth of the prostate gland
• prolonged painful erection
• ejaculation disorder
• increase or decrease in sexual desire
• changes in the sperm formation
• enlargement of the breasts
• acne
• itching (pruritus)
• high blood pressure (hypertension)
• changes in results of liver function tests
• changes in your red blood cells (polycythaemia)
• changes in cholesterol levels
• muscle pain (myalgia)
• feeling sick
SHELF-LIFE
The expiry date is indicated on the packaging.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE
Do not use this medicine after the "Best before" date on the pack.
Store below 30°C away from the light.
Do not store in the refrigerator.
Keep your medicine where children cannot see or reach it.
